It got a little cool last night, and I was getting patted by little kitty feet... often. Yes, they wanted under the covers, the little body heaters.
You would think that with all the fur and heat they generate, they wouldn’t be seeking out more… fanning self here.
So, I am up early, while they are chasing each other up and down the length of the house and trashing the packing paper that came in the copies of Earwen’s Song, earlier in the week.
That is a beautiful looking book.
Things are motoring along, I am working on Chapter IX in ‘Kings of the Empire’ typing Chapter V, and there is 12,000 words so far (give or take a few). I have 4 chapters to catch up and may do those before writing more.
It is a different type of book to write, there are plans to make, storyline endings to tie up… yada, yada… and some of the characters are not going to be with us after this.
Yes, war is never a nice thing, and this one is worse than most.
We are going to lose several of our favourite characters, going to try to save as many as possible though.
Morganna is working her way through ‘Into the Demons Lair’, we are hoping to have that into final edits, or should I say through final edits, by the end of March.
We might even manage to get ‘To Capture an Ancient’ through in that time as well, although we can’t put that up for preorder on Amazon until sometime in May, but we can everywhere else.
It will mean that I will have Volume 2 of the Short Stories done and in the works early.
In the Children’s version there will be ‘Guardians of the Future’, ‘Living in the light’ & ‘Surrounded by the Light’. The Adults version will have those, plus ‘To Capture an Ancient’, which wasn’t quite the romp I thought it might be, but is definitely not a bedtime story for a child.
When I have finished ‘Kings of the Empire’, I will work on either ‘Lost Kingdoms of the Empire’, which will be a short story, or I will go back to Tantalus. If the later, I will write ‘Intercession’ and ‘The Phoenixes Choice’, back to back.
That will put me into my 2018/19 release dates.
This should be interesting.
Reworking ‘Merika’s Story’ will take a week or two.
Reworking ‘Equals’, will take as long.
By then I should be able to sit back and take my time writing ‘The Goddess’ & ‘The Elven Princess’.
I hope. Does this sound overly ambitious?
Should I revise my list with less releases?
Hmmmmm… it is a thought.
Well, I have to go get some cereal, and keep Thena out of my milk (Yes, the milk that is in the cereal),
rescue the nearly dead pen that Tath is batting around the living room,
the one that I will probably finish killing in the next couple of days,
and get some typing done… when I get them to vacate my chair.
(They like my chair, or anywhere I park my butt.) I get these looks from them … wherever they are, joining us, mom?
Remembering with that comment that the feather blanket needs airing out, it smells of cat feet.
Well, time to toddle off again. Hoping to put the packages I promised everyone into the mail soon.
Take care, don’t catch anything in this transitional weather, as I know how miserable colds and flus can be, and we have had the perfect type of weather to catch them.
Until next week, have a good one…
LOL – the Dynamic Duo needs Mama’s heat! My dog is the same way, with their fur you would think they would be warm enough! Gosh, you have set yourself one busy time with all the books. I think you should take it a little slower-you are getting way ahead of yourself-should do some more reading of your own. Thanks for the chuckles and have a good week!
I will probably take a little break after KOTE
2018/2019 *Bangs head on the desk* You make me dizzy. Good thing I am going out tonight, I’ll have a drink for you…I need it. lol
Go for it, sometimes I wonder if it would help if I drank too, but no, not going there.
Sounds like you will be busy busy. I hate to be reminded we will be losing some elves. I love them all. Love the blog.
War is brutal
