First, I would like to welcome all the new followers to my weekly blog, there are many of you, and I hope you won’t be too disappointed… running around, rolling your eyes and saying… why?
This week winter came to stay... I am safe to say that because, after all, I live in mid-Canada and this is the last half of November..
. we are lucky we made it this far without getting slammed.
Usually we get things like a snow or ice storm for Halloween.
We almost made it to the end of the week before we got dumped on.
I am sure Mother Nature spent at least a moment thinking, “She has 2 appointments, the one she has to drive the longest to is the furthest away, I will wait.”
Take this Mother Nature.
I am thinking Murphy was behind her whispering in her ear too.
When I woke up and checked the road conditions yesterday I knew this would be a fun day... and to be fair, it wasn’t as bad as I feared.
I managed to miss all the multiple car pileups and the ditches.
It is a good idea to make sure you are prepared for things like this and get your vehicle’s skates sharpened before venturing out into this weather.
I made it back home with most of my wits and sanity,
(which everyone will doubt).
I also got home without soiling the back of my pants,
which was in doubt at moments.
I found I was in the dog house when I got back home, neither Thena nor Tath would talk to me,
wouldn’t let me hold them and generally gave me looks that failed to make me feel guilty.
They tried, they failed.
They forgave me in time for bed.
I tend to turn the heat down at night and they wanted access to the excess space under the feather blanket.
To make sure I understood what they thought of being abandoned for the better part of the day, they spread the pile of papers, I had placed on the dresser in the spare room, across two rooms.
I also have to remake the bed in there… etc… you get the picture.
Thena decided she wants outside desperately, so I put her there.
.. she proved she has a voice that is more than squeaky,
Tath refuses to go anywhere near the door, it is cold out there, and what is that white stuff?… not going there.
Thena is the adventurous one. Tath, not so much…
.
I had too many interruptions this week, with all the appointments, so I only got 4 chapters written on ‘Hunter’s Challenge’ That should put me in the 35,000 word area for this month.
I should be able to add to that considerably over the weekend, and then go on a typing binge.
I met with Sarah yesterday, and she is working her way through the last edit on ‘Tratchars’,
which means the physical copies will be available to me in December.
She will then go straight into ‘Earwen’s Song’, which could make that one available (again only to me)
in January. No one would want these books months in advance of them being released, I am sure.
If Things go right ‘Into the Demons Lair’ could be in my hands by the end of February.
I should be well into writing ‘Kings of the Empire’ by then.
Yes, I am ahead of schedule.
Well, I have to go pick the winners from yesterday’s event, so I will end this… hope you have a good week, and I the weather improves so my American friends can have a great Thanksgiving,
I believe that is next week… and I will come back with a special blog for them.
As usual… Take care and I will see you in another week.
I’m so glad all went well with the driving yesterday-can be really scary with all the snow you had. We are supposed to have a cool Thanksgiving, which I like since the oven will be on for a few hours and can’t wait for the turkey-yum!! Poor bratz, left alone all day but not nice they take it out on Mama!! I just love those two and their antics-my Dynamic Duo – LOL. Have a great weekend and good luck with your typing.
The poor bratz had a baby sitter… little turds
Glad you made it back and forth with out anything happening. Not surprised you came home to a mess and sullen Kitties. LOl They are spoiled after all. The event was nice and I had fun. Our snow never made it here. So disappointed. Loved the blog
These kitties spoiled? Not as badly as Snoop. LOL… I think they know it. 😉
