I could have taken bets on this and won... the weatherman said, clear and warmish all weekend... I thought, this is Halloween, we are going to be cold and miserable and wet ... Yes, I know that sounds horrible, I would have liked things to be different, especially for the tykes who will be venturing into this nasty stuff... yes, we are getting rain and although they said it would end in time for the kiddies to go out for trick or treating, now they are saying it won’t stop until tomorrow... Should I tell you what that is going to do to little brother’s plans for this weekend?   No, I didn’t think you would want to hear that either.   I have no idea what he is going to do now, except that there are a few things he might get away with.  I hope it is better everywhere else so people can enjoy this day.

I have started to write again.   Yes, the reading binge is over and I actually managed to get 12 books off my TBR pile, they will be replaced by 8 in November and a few more in December, while I write my next book.  I wasn’t sure which one I would chose, but it seems like Hunter’s Challenge has come to the forefront and I have managed to get 2 chapters done already.  It should be interesting to see how this develops, because it isn’t going to way I thought it would when I left things off in Integration.  This is good, right?  Well, we will see.

The Kitlings had planned on going out for Halloween too, but with the rain that plan has been shelved.  Thena would probably be game, she isn’t afraid of anything... but Tath… he doesn’t like getting wet.  Thena was going to get jewelled up to go as an Elf’s pampered cat.  Tath was going as a scaredy cat and was going to hide in corners and under furniture.  (Suited him to a T).  I have never seen a cat so traumatized by strangers.   He is getting better though and by next year he should be able to sit & pose while others gaze at him in admiration.  (That would have been Snoop, he used to sit & puff out his chest while they admired him… it was like, ‘Aren’t I the most pretty cat you have ever seen in your life?’ ... He was such a Snoop.

Eniko has begin to make the changes in sizing for the collector cards... where we had done postcards with the covers in the past, we will now be doing up collector card sizes.  Much easier to handle.  Speaking of which, we are changing the way we are going to be handling the book orders.  Anyone who will be ordering paperbacks in the future has the choice of doing it through me, or through their favourite site.  When they contact me with their purchase transaction # and address, I will send them a signed bookplate to insert into the book on the title page.  It is much more cost effective and in many cases no one will even have to pay shipping charges.  Most of the books that I sell are on an international market and mailing fees can be nasty.  If you insist on ordering direct, well, there is nothing I can do about the mail charges, though I will continue to try to get them to you in the most cost effective way. 

No, I am not about to deprive you of your Thena/Tath fix... they have been a going concern… racing around my feet like feathers in a storm whenever I try to walk (note the word try).  They want to know when I am going to get off my lazy butt and get their pompoms out from under the piano, because they can no longer reach them there… the last time I did that I found 32 pompoms under there, and accessing them was quite a chore... ever try to get close to something when there is 2 very excited fur bodies between you and your objective?  One minute the area is clear and you are good to go, the next there are 2 furry tails up your nostrils when you bend over, one for each... the one thing I have noticed about that is Siamese tails can tend to come to a very fine point.   Well, it looks like there is life in the house, besides two beasts who haven’t quit running... No, I didn’t get much sleep again last night… which means I should get some tonight, as they are going to be excited and checking out the action all day... going to carve up the pumpkin later... I wonder how much they will end up wearing…
