Well this is the end of the week, and what a week it has been. I caught up to my typing and, although I know it will come again,
it shouldn’t be quite as gruesome.
I readily admit, I only have one person to blame for what happened, me…
I knew what I was doing, and will do it again.
I didn’t feel like typing, so I didn’t, although I kept writing.
To be fair, I have over three-quarters of ‘Into the Dragons Lair’ done and the other quarter in my mind.
Thinking maybe another ten chapters to write.
Should be a piece of cake, right?
Snort.
I woke up the morning to the feel of a light paw patting me on the shoulder, Thena… … I opened by eyes, looked up and there were 2 furry bodies sitting beside my head,
one with a white looking face, one with a black one…
now, if your mind works like mine can sometimes,
you will be thinking ‘good and bad’ only neither come with horns or halos..
. especially not halos..
. we won’t get into what those ears can look like when they twist them some days.
To be fair, they were both purring,
which is nice, but an indication that they were having a good time, which they had.
The cupboard has been thoroughly invaded, as per pictures I put up on Facebook yesterday (Thena) Tath won’t fit in them, so I can’t blame him…
… well, I can but I know his part in the matter isn’t as drastic as hers.
Again, to be fair, he was the one who got into trouble the most yesterday.
He can seem sooooo innocent with those light blue eyes and fair coloured fur… little bacon thief..
. yes, bacon. That was mine, yes, I got it back, no I didn’t eat it, no I didn’t allow him to eat it…
last thing I need is a food stealing Tath cat.
For a change it was Thena who was looking at me with an expression that said she didn’t have any part in it… but you could tell she was willing.
The kitchen counter is getting a thorough wash down this morning. With the number of times that Thena was on it yesterday, it is a wonder it doesn’t have a path worn into it.
It is also a wonder that her feet don’t hurt from all the times she was tossed off the top of it.
The two monsters are in the living room, romping as I type, I will clean up there later.
Rolling eyes.
I have the greater part of ‘Earwen’s Song’ edited now, and in a day or 2 it will probably head for the second stage. When it comes back it will go to Morganna.
Tratchars is ready for Sarah, who ambitiously told me she would have it done by this time, but I told her that was wishful thinking.
I am waiting for her to hand in the last manuscript for redoing, which should happen shortly, I assume, before she gets Tratchars.
I am hoping to get my paperback order for ‘Integration’ this upcoming week, so I can mail out all these envelopes and boxes waiting for them. It always feels so good to get these things done so I can move on.
You know how that is.
There are signs of fall everywhere. The geese are gathering, I don’t see signs of too many, but we haven’t even gotten a frost yet.
It will come, I just have no idea when.
I am feeling the changes in my bones, yes, it sucks to get older.
I am also seeing Halloween decorations out on people’s yards and, shudder, Christmas decorations being put out.
(You would understand that if you ever tried to hang Christmas lights when it is -20C outside (or colder) … Yes, when you feel fall hit, it is time to put out the Christmas decorations.
(Which reminds me, I need to get Christmas cards to send out this year).
I don’t send many, but they go a long way from home when I do.
Well, it is time to put the computer back in its spot, so I can lay claim to the kitchen table once more and do a shake up of the rest of the house, before I sit down with the kittens and start to write again. Do they let me do this?
Sort of, they chase around, getting into things, while I kill pens and pull them out of their newest ventures and they purr because they caught my attention…
Yes, I have it figured out…
the idea of getting a second cat to amuse the first does not work…
they want their fair share of my attention and the Elves can go… well, you know.
The Elves have news for them…
Speaking of which, this Elven writer has to get back to work, finish this off,
finish off her book,
finish off posting,
finish off cleaning,
finish pulling cats off the curtains,
and getting ready to face a new season.
(which luckily won’t arrive for another month or more, if I am lucky).
Until next Saturday, have a good one, and maybe I will have better news.
LOL the bratz are at it again I see… bacon thief 😀 always look forward to my Saturday chuckles. Have a great weekend ❤
It was raw, hadn’t hit the oven yet
LOL, leave it to the Dynamic Duo – bacon this time!!!! Curtain hanging? Aren’t they too old and heavy for that now-I understand when they are kittens but they are so much bigger now. Ah well, they are the Dynamic Duo-it’s to be expected! Thanks for my Saturday chuckles and hopefully have a good weekend!! 🙂
Thena can get away with it, but definitely not Tath…. He is a big cat, very long and heavy, as you might suspect. Very strong and well muscled.
Don’t blame Tath I love Bacon too. Hard to resist the smell of it. LOL I have Halloween decorations out and yes they are putting Christmas out here to in the stores. Chrismas cards are n my list of tho buy next time I shop. LOL Loved the blog.
Raw bacon… not cooked… 😛 I am going to see what they have to offer for cards on Tuesday
