I woke up this morning, all achy and feeling sorry for myself. The kittens (now cats) were jumping all over the bed,
there was fog thick enough to cut outside and I didn’t want to get up.
Duty calls… yup, an undeniable urge that made leaving that bed a necessity
(especially when Tath jumped on my abdomen)…
no question about it.
I get up… wobble into the living room and stop…
I am going to kill those cats..
. now dead cats (not so you would notice).
The table is nice and clean, but there are cards, boxes, bags, envelopes and packing supplies (mixed with cat toys), all over the floor.
.. the place looks like it was trashed by someone looking for a microchip..
. (good luck here… if there was one the cats would have gotten it and put it in their mouth).
Yes, they are like children anything that fits into the mouth can and will be swallowed, it you don’t catch it first.
Ignoring the mess, I continue to stumble to the washroom while trying not to step on a cat,
something that is close to impossible when you have two of them zigzagging through your feet..
. and don’t expect privacy when you reach the other end..
. only they expect and get that.
I figure that, while I am in the washroom anyway, I might as well brush my teeth..
. looking for toothbrush..
. find it next to litter pan..
. new brush is in order.
Tath looks up smugly at me..
. Yeah, I know cat..
. That is a Tath cat thing…
which reminds me… where is my pen?
He walks away and stretches, give me a look over his shoulder.
I have been busily writing, about a chapter a day on ‘Into the Demons Lair’ and am thinking of taking the weekend off... not going to happen (I am resigned to that), but I am going to try.
The cats will help as they pile onto my chest and curl up for naps.
17 pounds of furballs can make things difficult to breathe, but not to worry, it doesn’t last long.
Thena gets restless, her trademark, and lays on top of Tath.
He gets up and steps on her and the chase is on.
He might outweigh her by 4 lbs. but she will teach him who is boss in this house…
something he tried to change last night and failed.
Yup, she cleaned his clock and sent him running for Dixie..
. She was curled up under the cover while I was writing…
(Yes, I know) … and he started jumping on her as she squirmed because he was reaching under the blanket to take swats at her.
She got fed up and came up snarling..
. the look on his face was precious… (Like … Holy cow, what got into her… I am getting out of Dodge)
She runs fast, but this time I think he ran faster, but how far can you go to escape an angry female feline in 1000 sq. ft. of house..
. I think he tried the ceiling at one time.
You think he learned his lesson?
You know it… they were raising the roof half an hour later.
End result… lights off, Thena at my head, Tath by my knees… the rest I mentioned.
As far as the books go… both ‘Integration’ and ‘Surrounded by the Light’ are up for preorder everywhere… the proof for the paperback has been ordered and they have told me it will be shipped late Monday,
so if everything goes well Becca will see it Tuesday if we are lucky.
Other than that… I am writing..
. the kittens are trying to act innocent when people notice them, and trashing the place when they are not..
. clean up time… blah…
until next week…
have a good one.
LOL, the Dynamic Duo strikes again!! Do you ever get a full nights sleep with them?? Happy for you the books are going so well, but it wouldn’t hurt to slow down a little since you are ahead of the game. My husband got a kick out of all the emoticons-told him she does this every Saturday! Thanks again for my chuckles-just glad I don’t have the bratz living with me!! 😉
I probably wouldn’t sleep all night anyway… my head won’t let me.
You have your hands full with those too, they get away with a lot of stuff… I wonder why they were so well behaved while I was there LOL hope the weather clears up for you, I am not fond of humid, foggy days either
They were, weren’t they… now that I think about it. Even the cupboard didn’t get visited that often
The cupboard was only once and it was because of lots of dinner guests
I can toss her off of that counter 150 times a day
I love these posts. I look forward to them every Saturday. So much fun, though at you expense. Lol
Occasionally I come out on top. 😉
ROFL they are a never ending source of fun . Hope you are felling better and not coming down with something. The little stinkers made you quite a mess and nasty weather again. so sorry. Cloudy here today but warm. Crossing fingers the proof is good and the books can be ordered. Loved the blog and had a good laugh keep the blogs coming.
