The first thing I hear in the morning, mom... the last I hear at night..
. mom… yes, it is the Tath cat.
Thena has a soft little meow that I can barely hear.
They are on their best behaviour this weekend, because little bro has come for a visit.
.. Granted I just chased Tath’s furry hide out of bro’s blueberry pancakes before it got into it.
His breakfast is safe now, I covered it with another plate.
Tath is slower than Thena, but he gets into the more serious things.
Not that Thena doesn’t do her share, she does love the top of that cupboard, for which she paid dearly for this week.
Poor little girl.
She jumped up when I was on the phone and cooking my evening meal, landed on the stove.
I smelled the odour of singed fur and moved fast..
. no, she didn’t go up in flames, thankfully.
I do think she got the scare of her lifetime though.
She is spending less time on top the cupboard, notice… notice, I said less.
Instead of 275 jumps up there at this moment, she might spend half that time there.
(anyone have a set of kitten hobbles I can borrow for a while?)
Tath is slowly getting out of his shyness, although he picks and chooses who to get shy with. He seems to like little bro, which I find amusing, because little bro is a tad allergic.
Thena is less discriminating.
She will go to anyone and one of these days, I am expecting her to try to take a run for the great outdoors,
so far it is look but no venturing past the doorsill.
Tath got out once, he made it 3 feet out and came back with the most panicked look I have ever seen on a kitty face.
Sometimes you really gotta love the comedy.
This is the week Eniko comes, still can’t believe this is real. We have it all planned… Candy will go the the airports to pick her up when her plane lands.
She will take her to the corner of … I mean my place,
and exchange vehicles (Yes, mine is not good enough.)
Thursday night is girls night out… we meet the rest of the team and a few others at Boston Pizza.
Where the others will rat me out.
(Tame night.)
Saturday we experiment with the stove…
which reminds me, I have to make that orange chiffon cake for the visit.
I have been slowly thumbing my way though the reworking of the manuscript of Earwen’s Song. I am about half way though and, if everything goes well, I should have it finished for Eniko to take home with her, or not.
I plan on taking a break after this..
. other books beckon… and I am going to set more than one read this time.
I will then either write ‘To Capture an Ancient’ or “Into the Demons Lair’.
I might decide to go back to Tantalus for a visit and write ‘Forbidden Contact’ but I have my doubts.
Anyway, I should probably go into little bro’s room and get the Tath cat off his bed, they sure know who gets stuffed up when they are around.
I have paperwork to do, amongst other things and it is time to move, before I am glued to the chair…
until next week, when I will update you on progress and Eniko’s visit, we may do the blog together at that time, that would be novel and interesting.
Reader, beware, you have been warned.
Until then, have a good week.
i always love reading your saturday blog. 🙂
Thanks Barb, the two keep me racing around looking for my sanity.
LOL, gotta love the Dynamic Duo and poor Thena. After the stove episode you would think she’d stay off the cupboard-stubborn cat!! I know Eniko is so excited and wouldn’t it be great to have a double blog next week (hint, hint). Thanks for my Saturday chuckles and have a good week. 🙂
Double blog sounds like double the fun and laughs. I hope Thena’s paws are alright. Have a great vis8it with your bro. Loved the blog as usual.
