Especially my Tath kitten. I suppose part of that is my fault, or at least that is what my vet says.
They like the last tablespoon of milk from my cereal in the morning.
They have a built in alarm that tells them that it is time to be fed, have the litter pan changed and got to bed.
These all things that I am supposed to jump up and do upon demand.
We won’t talk about the pompoms in that tupperware container.
Thena has a soft meoux to her,
Tath is louder and much clearer about his demands…
Mom! or Ma.
They both have the suckup mastered, if you purr, she will give in…
turn on those baby blues, bat your eyelashes and she is toast.
If all fails, turn around and back up to her face (guaranteed to get a reaction).
It was an eventful week, one the kittens are glad is over. We started off with the cover release for Earwen’s Song,
moved on to the two day event and set up more things with the street team.
Beyond those things, I finished changing the rooms around, got the packages ready to mail off and wrote a total of 2 chapters on Earwen’s Song.
I did manage to read a short story, I know, pretty sad, but better than nothing.
To end the week Cora sent me the cover for ‘Forbidden Contact’…
and no, I am not showing it to anyone yet.
It is over a year away before that short story comes out and I haven’t written it yet.
Back to the kittens, they have figured something else out, mama makes a good heating pad and if you lie on top of her,
she can’t get up as quickly as she can if you don’t.
So, after she feeds you (to shut you up in the early hours of the morning),
you come back and climb up on her hip, and legs.
(Options to nagging in the early hours: Bringing squeaky toy into bed and jumping all over the top of the bed with it.
Bring pompoms or toy mice into bed and tuck them under the blanket, so you can reach in and scratch her ankles,
a poor excuse is better than none.
Jump on the other kitten and have a wrestling match,
not so effective anymore, even if you know she is awake.
Knock something off the furniture, the louder the crash the bigger the chance there is that she will get up to see what you have been up to.)
When you have her on her feet, she might feed you.
She can be a mean mama,
tells Tath he is a walking stomach and has to suck it up.
Calls us Prince and Princess… it isn’t nice to be so sarcastic.
So this week it is back to the pen and paper for this writer. Earwen’s Song won’t write itself.
I guess I should make an appointment to see my Dr. too… he will be wondering if I left the country.
Until next week, wishing all fathers a Happy Father’s day, and everyone a good week… the kittens are jumping, which makes this a task,
because they are jumping on me.
LOL – those two scalawags are just too funny – not to you so early in the morning!! Since you have your moving done maybe now you can get to your writing again, but with those two, it won’t be peaceful!! Have a great weekend.
They do love their afternoon naps
ROFL thank you for making my Sat. Glad you got something read. LOL
