Stumbling off to the washroom in the middle of the night, trying to avoid stepping on kittens all the way and they are calling ‘mom’, ‘mama’. No, I am not opening a can of cat food for you two to eat at 3 AM…
No, No, No…
end of story.
Stumble back to bed, trying not to step on kittens all the way.
(No sense trying to outrun them, not happening.
There would be a kitten causality for sure.
They have actually come a long way in the months that I have had them,
Tath was such a tiny thing and now he is bigger than Thena.
Thena’s birthday is next month, yes, she will be one year old, and she has finished growing.
I have plans for revamping some of the rooms in my house. I know I should be painting as I do them, but not going there,
at least not this year… way too busy.
Not to forget mentioning that I would end up with multi-hued kittens.
I am still working on Tratchars, I have 2 chapters to type out that should put me over the 65% mark.
Another chapter on the way, which means I am off and running again.
For some reason, it seems like when I get past a certain percentage the story just runs.
I have less than 30,000 words to go to finish the book and there is a lot of ground to cover.
Will probably overrun again, it is something I tend to do.
I may take a break from the Chronicles and return to Tantalus to write Hunter’s Challenge after Earwen’s Song, maybe not.
That is still a couple months away, so there is time to think about that.
I have the cover for Earwen’s Song... doing happy dance here.
No, I am not showing it off, not yet.
Yes, it is gorgeous, even better than Tratchars.
And yes, I am teasing, we are talking about doing a special release on it, just because it is soooooo …… sigh.
Wishing all the mothers a special Happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow. It would be a wish of mine that every mother would at least hear from the children they brought into the world and love.
I know how much I miss mine.
I also know that it is not always possible for families to connect, but a call is always welcome from a child that is missed.
I don’t have children, I have kittens and, no, they are not biologically mine.
I know, bad joke.
Hearing a crash from the direction of the living room, I go check, it is Thena chasing Tath, they hit the nylon tubes at full run and went for a fly, landing against the leg of the dining room table.
(good thing I have sturdy furniture.)
That is another thing I am not changing, furniture, in the foreseeable future.
I will need a couch for sure, not to mention the sheers the two hooligans have trashed my curtains.
Giving great sigh of resignation.
There are times they get really wound up, to try to give you a worded visual of this, think of a house that has doorways lined up from one end to the other, and no I don’t have a really big house…
they start off racing at one end of the house, hit the door at the other end, catapult off of it and return to the starting post, if one catches the other in between they get tangled (somehow
) and go for a roll, before chasing off again.
I leave them at it, that is innocent fun… going into the mud and tracking it across the floor (and my bed) isn’t.)
Well, on that note, I will go check on the terrorists and see if they have backed up the copy machine again. Each time I get a fax, or copy out a chapter of my book to edit, they try to catch the paper as it comes out of the machine.
There are times the paper doesn’t escape before it is stopped by kitten paws.
Another crash, and this time I know it is trouble… racing off to rescue my brother’s lamp.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.
One again you have made my day. I love hearing about there escapades. Maybe if you do make a computer room you can shut the door while the printer is running and not worry LOL I know you wouldn’t be without either one of them. So excited tio see the new cover. I fell in love with Tratchers cover. You are such a tease. Hugs to kittens.
Eärwen’s Song is a lot better. Kittens are napping. LOL
Thanks again for my Saturday chuckles and hope they didn’t do too much damage. With those two you definately deserve a Mothers Day so Happy Mothers Day Mary Ann!
They have destroyed a few things, sighing… had to downsize anyway.
