The kitten closest to what Snoop was like, is young Tath... he ran outside for the first time, the other day.
Snoop wasn’t shy or a scaredy cat.
The expression on his face, as he raced back into the house, mirrored the one on Snoop’s face the first time he ran into snow.
It was like ‘holy cow, what was that?’
Tath has NEVER been outside before and my yard is large, big enough that I think he found it intimidating.
Thena wouldn’t have batted an eyelash,
I believe the great kitten chase would have been on.
The visualizations keep running through my mind of a 6.75lb. kitten running through the yard, looking for the big birds…
‘here eagle, eagle…’ Yup, that would have been Thena, the skinny looking pussycat.
I have also found another thing that Tath is doing that Snoop used to,
calling me Ma, or Mom.
Thena doesn’t do that she has a soft meoux,
unless the door is close and she is on the other side, then it is louder.
What is it about cats and doors, or is that a Siamese thing?
Did their ancestors pass on the ‘there should be no door between the human you own and you?’
They can be sleeping in a room the length of the house away, but the moment you go into a different room and close the door.
Walking away, shaking head with irony.
Oh yes, going to the washroom can be an experience.
Snoop would allow you SOME privacy,
he would sit 3 feet away with his back turned to you.
(Yes, the door had to be open, unless he was in the same room.)
Thena crawls all over a person,
Tath wants to be held…
multi-tasking has taken on a whole new meaning.
Well, I am unofficially (because I didn’t type out the last chapter yet), over the 40% mark on Tratchars. I am halfway through the next chapter, with the following one in my mind.
If I can get them both written today I will be over the 45% mark.
This book should be finished by the end of May, then I will be into Earwen’s Song.
Something tells me Earwen’s Song isn’t going to take a long time to write.
I may write ‘To Capture an Ancient’, after,
mainly because I am going to need a giggle, and that one most certainly will be. (It will also be one of my shorter stories.)
I am sure some of you will be happy to hear that.
I wouldn’t be surprised that I should be able to wrap up ‘Into the Demons Lair’ by the end of summer.
That will leave me with “Kings of the Empire’, ‘Forbidden Contact’ and ‘Hunter’s Challenge’ to write.
I will be sort of taking a break after that.
But maybe my head will feel lighter.
I have hopes the roofing crew will come to put the shingles I lost into place today, in fact, I am so hopeful that I put my bed back into place in my room.
Crossing my fingers that dream comes true.
It is going to be busy besides that ... it is a nice day, the sun is shining, I may go outside for a while and finish pulling down the Christmas lights that the wind tore off the eves.
(While I listen to the kittens yell from inside the house)
I can hear them already, mom, mom, mom. Rolling eyes, as if.
I have cards coming with the covers of ‘Tratchars’ and ‘Hunter’s Challenge’. I didn’t order magnets yet, the price was too high.
I didn’t order mugs yet or posters either, same reason… call me cheap.
They will be coming through, as will the copies of ‘For the King and Elven Empire.’
I am expecting them by the end of the upcoming week.
About the same time as little bro. (another midnight forage to the airport.)
Lots of fun. Well time to go, my first appointment is at 10 and I haven’t had breakfast yet.
Have a good day, and lets hope the fates allow me to write that chapter and a half that are in my mind.
Just imagine, soon I will be on the last half and it will be countdown time.
Until next weekend, from the kitten central here,
have a good one.
Have a good weekend Mary Ann and enjoy some of the sun! Those two are such a hoot-they really keep you hopping and entertained! Got my Saturday morning laugh!! 🙂
I so love this blog. I can just see those kittens doing all that . How long will bro stay this time. You have a very heavy writing schedule and the titles are very interesting. LOL Thanks for the boost of my day.
Coming late on Friday night and leaving Monday afternoon.
Glad you are enjoying this.
