Life around here lately reminds me of a Bugs Bunny cartoon lately (well, maybe roadrunner). Thena has decided she is feeling better,
this is home and she is allowed to jump, all over everything.
Guess who has covers on the furniture..
. by that I mean buffet and china cabinet etc. ..
. it is only right that they have a runner or tablecloth on them, am I correct?
It isn’t my fault that she takes running jumps and goes for a fly,
at least not in my estimation.
Granted, I have picked up more runners and tablecloths off the floor than I ever did in the past.
(We won’t talk about Snoop, he was an angel, right?)
Don’t laugh too hard, we all know better, but he didn’t have me hiding the lamps, fairies and anything else on the top of the piano, china cabinet, etc. (you get the picture)
Yes, she likes tassels and fringes on lamps.
I was getting very afraid she would realize that those china ladies on the lamps actually did swing.
Anyway, back to the picture of the cartoon (and the sight of Wile e Cayote overrunning the cliff and falling into the canyon. I don’t think I need explanations from this point on, just insert one very rambunctious black pointed pussykitten and you have the picture.
She has picked up a few of Snoops old habits (personally I think he is coming to her at night in her dreams and telling her things)
She likes to nap on little bro’s bed.
She curls up on anything with his scent.
She plays with his leg lamp (think Christmas Story and the prize lamp).
No, she hasn’t hurt it, but it will be going into storage before Tathar comes.
She jumps into the fridge when I open that door (Snoop wouldn’t do that)
She opens cupboard doors (a classic) and she wants to be held when I am typing.
(I don’t think I need to explain that)
She likes water, which would have freaked Snoop out.
What about Tathar, you ask? I haven’t heard a word, although I am expecting him the third week of February.
They are going to bring him home in the truck as they did with Thena, and watch him be the polar opposite of what she was like for traveling.
I can just imagine him screaming for hours and them getting to this end with the bro and his wife’s comment,
“here, take him, he is yours, you deal with him.” (that would have been Snoop in a vehicle)
I spent the week typing and have gotten past the 40% mark of ‘Integration’. I am currently back to writing, there are two chapters I want to write up before I leave, which will put me at the 50% or better before I leave.
I am not expecting to get much done in Kelowna, I seldom do.
.. going to go to see the Hobbit 3 while I am there, and do year end books and lets face it, I will only be there a week with 2 of those days traveling.
On the up side I will have 2 books coming this direction while I am gone, waiting for me go get home.
After I am finished ‘Integration’ I plan to write ‘Surrounded by the Light’ (which is a short)
It will be a bit of a guess whether I will write the short on the Tantalus Series, or whether I will get into ‘Tratchars’ after I am finished…
will have to think about that because when I start with that one ‘Earwen’s Song’ is going to follow very quickly,
and might even be followed by Larien’s story, which has to be named…
no that doesn’t mean I am going to release them like I did King’s Daughter and Luthien’s Song (only one month apart)
…. thinking of writing a short about the Spokesman, but that is a character few knows about as he is in ‘For the King and Elven Empire’.
am I going to explain that? Let me think about it…. no.
Going to leave the musing for a while, I am sure you don’t want to hear about that anyway... Grabbing pen and paper while reminding myself to pack an extra bunch of paper for the trip (just in case).
I guess I don’t need to tell anyone that there won’t be a Saturday blog next week.
Enjoy your time without me, and I will return with another the following Saturday.
What a little stinker Alena is getting to be. You had me laughing out loud many times reading thi. I am sure little Bro will be thrilled she loves his bed as much as Snoop did. LOL Have some fun even if some of your going is doing the books.
I will see who I can
Enjoy your trip, I don’t know how I will survive without your blog next week, there part of my Saturday ritual….The antics of Her Majesty where quite entertaining… Safe travels & Godspeed 🙂
Thanks Liz
