Well another week has passed and we are still allowed to be in our own homes. It was a close call.
Close enough that there is river water in some of the ditches close to where I live.
There were military trucks running around town and anyone who could help lift a sandbag, did. Snoop stayed home to make sure we weren’t overran with mice.
I managed to write 5, yes 5, count the fingers… … chapters on ‘For the King and Elven Empire’ during all the commotion. They didn’t want me there and someone had to stay with the company.
You would not believe how many phone calls came from people wanting updates, I felt like flood zone central at times.
End of story, however, is that we squeaked through again.
In 4 days I am headed for the Canadian Rockies, Kelowna, which means there will be no blog next week. I can hear the results of that announcement already.
Maybe by the time I return you will be ready to hear from me again. I get back on the 25th.
I know what to expect when I return.
or he might be like the last time…
. Then he won’t leave me be for a week…
… and it will be everything back to normal.
Well, I guess I should begin to think about what to take with me. So far I have packed a 7 year pen,
a new pack of paper,
a few books,
and somethings for little bro.
It just occurred to me that I hadn’t even through of night clothing,
socks,
or other unmentionables.
I wonder if I will have room for it all in the luggage.
Well, to end this off, (I know what you are going to say about that,
) I am going to add that ‘King’s Daughter’ is finished edits.
and so has ‘Living in the Light’. Now to give them to Becca to be formatted.
Morganna has ‘Luthien’s Song’ and should have that done about the end of the month.
That will give me something to look forward to when I come back.
Candy will only take a few days to go through it before it goes to Sarah for the last edit.
I will have days and days of typing to do.
Aren’t I excited…
. Oh well, they say a change is as good as a rest.
We will see how that works writing from a balcony overlooking the scenic Okanagan Valley vs. my living room where you can see the neighbor’s yards and beyond that hundreds of miles of flatness.
Decisions… decisions.
And I am off to the mountains.
Have a good one, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do
and sorry about taking the Elves with me.
but they refuse to stay behind.
Hope you have a great trip and very thankful prayers were answered and you are alright flood wise. Sounds like you best get a separate carry on for bros. things. LOL
The carryon would be for my stuff… lol.
