It is Spring… finally. The snow is melting and looking like dirty and miserable.
(color at last) Do I care if the snow looks like it has dirt in it?
Not a chance, I am not about to put any of it in my mouth.
Snoop wants out, but won’t go further than the end of the stairs where the snow has melted, might get his feet wet.
I know, I should be ashamed of myself for being so sarcastic but really, he is just a little too wussy.
It is fine for him to scream half the night as he runs around the house looking for a way out, then come to bed when it gets cool and put his half frozen paws on me, but he can’t step on a little snow because he might get wet… what is with that?
I asked him once, and he poked his nose in the air, turned away and flicked his tail at me as if to say ‘it is a cat thing, live with it.’
We have My Darling, Janice about to be shipped from the printers, yes, it is proofing time. IF UPS does it right Becca should have the first copy in her hands on Tuesday and we will see what it looks like in print form.
If it is good, and I think it will be, we should be able to order the first run and have them sitting here by the time Guardians of the Future releases in two weeks time.
TWO WEEKS!!!!
Can you believe it? Time has flown.
Becca doesn’t know which way to turn first.
She is swamped and I am demanding more. To be fair when we get the things on her list finished I will be leaving her alone for a while.
Some time this week Becca is hoping to have the cover finished for ‘King’s Daughter’ and ‘Living in the Light’ I have distributed the rest of some of her jobs to a couple of my other helpers to give her a breather. She works too hard.
Eniko is working on the edits for ‘King’s Daughter’ so that is moving along.
Morganna is waiting for Eniko to finish.
I told her that it is possible that ‘Luthien’s Song’ won’t be too long in coming after that.
I know it doesn’t sound like a whole lot, but it is all time consuming, along with writing the rough draft of ‘First Contact’ … book two is already beginning to take form, and my Elves are quietly humming in the background as they watch their children grow and develop into contributing members of the Empire.
There will be a short story of the Elven children next spring.
They are getting older, and by next Christmas, (yes, I am making up my release list for 2015), they should be turning into teenagers.
(Look out world). Actually they are very nice little teenagers.
Well Snoop is hinting that he needs attention as he hangs from my shoulder by his claws. Breakfast is screaming,
soggy cereal again because I forgot it, again.
(Wait a minute, just remembered, forgot to put the milk in the bowl,
no soggy cereal today.)
I have a few calls to make, a chapter to finish,
one to straighten out a little, a cat to appease
(wish me luck on that one,
spring can be brutal). a book to trace,
pictures to look for so we can get the covers done,
and somewhere I am going to cheat and catch a few moments sleep that I missed last night.
Wish me luck.
Until next week, have a good one.
Loved it as usual. Give Snooper a hug from me.
He is so frustrated. He can’t go out because it is too cold yet for him, and I won’t go to bed because I have work. Things are rough all over for the pussycat.
