Well it is a new year and I am hoping everyone had a great holiday season. Now it looks like it is time to get back down to work for me. Wait a minute, I don’t believe I stopped. At any rate, it is too cold to go outside. Even the snow is too cold to form into snowballs. It isn’t right that it should be colder here than it is at the North Pole. The only place that should be colder than that is the South Pole. Sigh.
Snoop has the right idea, stay in bed and hibernate. Snoop wanted to thank everyone for the gifts and cards. He is a little under the weather right now and not at all happy with me. He says sick pussycats need extra TLC. They should be held and rocked as they are cuddled. I think he needs a little exercise, but I can tell he isn’t feeling like he should be. If it keeps up much longer I am going to take him to see our vet. He isn’t going to like that much because although he likes the vet well enough, she tends to do things to him that he considers bordering on insulting. Either way he has a day and a half to get his act together. (She is gone for the weekend) The roads are almost impassible as well. Stupid weather.
Well I am at the 60% mark on ‘King’s Daughter’ and that is progressing well. ‘Luthien’s Song got a back seat over the holiday, but I am writing a chapter on it now and quickly passing the 45% mark. (It is a harder story to write.) Haven’t touched ‘First Contact’ and decided to do one more edit on ‘Guardians of the Future’ I think I might be satisfied this time, I think it reads better. In the meantime, ‘My Darling, Janice’ is on its last edit. Maybe. Will see when I re-read it.
